I had the pleasure to sit down with James Howard Kunstler, author of such notable books as the geography of Nowhere, The Long Emergency, the fictional World Made By Hand Series, and my personal favorite, Too Much Magic, Wishful thinking, Technology, and the Fate of the Nation. The intention was to talk specifically about Syria and the sabers being rattled there but our conversation wound down a number of different roads not to mention us jumping down a few current event rabbit holes that included:
The Deep State; the raid on Michael Cohen, Trump’s former attorney which brought into question the value of attorney-client privilege; White House and DOJ staff shake-ups; Comey’s book tour and can his reputation be salvaged; the poisoning of Sergei Skripal; The Steele Dossier; Mark Zuckerberg’s testimony on Capitol Hill; the economic disconnect between Wall Street and Main Street; and the notion of rackets and how they play out in our medical and education systems.
