Dear All, Last week, I spent four days with Operation Burning Edge to get a boots on the ground look at the immigration crisis on the country’s southern border. Traveling between Boca Chica and McAllen, Texas, in the Rio Grande Valley (RGV), I was fortunate to have dozens of conversations with border patrol agents, members of the Texas National Guard, activists, ranchers, elected officials, journalists and average Americans. I watched as agents apprehended illegal aliens and learned the border patrol’s RGV sector apprehends roughly 20,000 illegal aliens a week and the resources to capture, process, adjudicate and deport them, don’t exist. Confidentially, I was told we can do little more than release these immigrants to volunteer agencies (VOLAG) such as Catholic Charities with a notice to appear in court years from now. I left Texas more convinced than ever the border crisis is self-inflicted and the result of a conscious decision, as well as deliberate actions by what I term the “Immigration Industrial Complex”, to radically increase the U.S. population, alter its economic base, and unravel its social cohesion. In the videos below, I take aim at the U.S. Council of Catholic Bishops and its surrogate, Catholic Charities, who are paid by federal and even state and local governments to help relocate migrants. I also provide information which should help bring the southern border crisis into better focus that includes a deep dive into the numbers by Joe Guzzardi. In closing, as bleak as things may appear, I’ve seen recent evidence suggesting things are getting ready to change, and for the better. |
The Problem with NGOs and Volunteer Agencies
Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Wilmington, Delaware just received a state grant to provide legal services for “eligible” Afghan arrivals. This is yet another example of the term “Immigration Industrial Complex”. If the “eligible Afghans” now living in the U.S. were working so closely with our armed forces over the past twenty years, and in positions of trust and confidence, why do they now require legal assistance with “. . . the replacement or correction of immigration documents, interpretation services, translation of documents into a client’s preferred language, physically filling out relevant forms, and securing fee waivers for forms.”? At best there are no more than 18,000 interpreters, drivers, engineers, security guards and embassy clerks who should be eligible for and granted a U.S. Special Immigrant Visa. But thanks to the Biden administration’s irresponsible and haphazard withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan, we now have upwards of 70,000 Afghans looking to enter the U.S.

Has the Massive Wave of Immigration Hit Its High-Water Mark?
Cities are buckling under the pressure of immigration as these articles indicate:
America’s cities are buckling under the pressure of massive waves of immigration and even the staunchest democrats are beginning to push back. As bleak as things may seem, it’s possible we’ve witnessed the high-water mark. The consequences of our failed policy are no longer affecting just the cities along the southern border. Many of the large Democratic Party run cities across the U.S. are now victim.
A while back we popularized the term “not employment ready” on Twitter, meaning many of the country’s new arrivals lack the skills, experience and qualifications to get jobs and have resorted to begging and worse. It seems we were spot on.
Each day, the men in the family look for work as day laborers and the women and children go to the subway, selling candy on the trains and platforms from ten in the morning until 6:30 in the evening. They arrange their items neatly in variety-pack boxes — — priced at $2 apiece.
