Dear {name}:
The year 2025 came in like a lion with “the Great Christmas H-1B Visa Kerfuffle" that broke out on X and woke the general public up regarding the harm being done to our white-collar professional workers and recent college graduates by employment visas for foreigners — a topic that continues to be du jour almost twelve months later. Just last week I sat on a panel hosted by the Heritage Foundation titled, "How the H-1B Visa Led to the Importing of Mass Cheap Labor."
The following day our much anticipated paper titled, "The Rise and Fall of the H-1B Visa," was published in the Winter 2025 edition of the American Affairs Journal to rave reviews. Policymakers, activists and politicians now have all the information they need to fully grasp how the H-1B visa is not so much being abused but is working as it was intended—to displace American white-collar/professional workers.
Public interest is running higher than ever and smart candidates for office are seizing on the popularity of ending these visa programs. I am proud to say that this organization and our merry band of activists have been at the center of things, always out front and always girded up and ready to jump into the fray.
But with the holiday season upon us, we have all earned a respite. Although we seem to be zigzagging our way to reform under conditions that can best be described as byzantine, with no budget bills set to be voted on before the end of the year, we should be free to prioritize our time with family, friends and the pursuit of happiness.
And with that, I wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving!
Onward,
