Dear {name},
During an interview with Neil Munro of Breitbart last week, I decried the lack of action by President Trump's administration regarding foreign employment programs such as H-1B, L-1, H-4 EAD, and STEM OPT (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Optional Practical Training) that are being used to displace white-collar professional workers. In the last six months of his first administration, great progress was being made. But today, crickets!
It is now plain to see this is not an oversight. Rather, it is a clear indication that the administration is siding with the Tech Bros, and an effective program is in place to frustrate attempts to put Americans first. Sriram Krishnan, whose appointment to the Office of Science and Technology Policy kicked off the Great H-1B Visa Kerfuffle over the Christmas holidays, is still employed, and Mark Andreessen and Peter Thiel have purchased homes in the DC area.
However, the populists are still out there swinging, and there is plenty of fight left in us. Congressman Dave Brat (R-VA) aptly stated:
"Look at the H-1B visa numbers for FY2026. They're still way too high. Congress sets the caps, so this is on them. Issuance is on autopilot. USCIS is required to follow this law, so Congress has to change this law."
Our posts on X on the topic have gone viral, and interest is high among several members of the Freedom Caucus who are keen to act. Although things might appear dark now, remember the words of Revolutionary War naval hero John Paul Jones and repeat with me - WE HAVE NOT YET BEGUN TO FIGHT!
Onward,
